Bryson Citys Local Fare

Bryson City is a gorgeous small town that sits on the banks of the Tuckaseegee at the southern edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Bryson City offers a much different experience than that of the Tennessee Smokies having kept its small town feel, relaxed nature, and of course mountain charm. Great Smoky Mountain National Park Favorites

The nations most visited national park sits equally divided between North Carolina and Tennessee, roughly 40 percent of which is located right here in Swain County. While many enjoy experiencing the park by riding US 441, there are many enjoyable experiences to be had right close by.

Outdoor Adventures

Bryson City is often referred to as the "Outdoor Adventure Capitol of the Smoky Mountains" and rightfully so. It is home of the Nantahala River Gorge, where world-renowned rafting and kayaking can be found, as well as zip-line canopy tours. Also the perfect spot for mountain biking, hiking, and more.

Cherokee Indian Reservation

The Cherokee Indian Reservation, located just 15 minutes from Bryson City, is the ancestral homeland of the Cherokee Indians. Many visitors travel from all over to experience and learn about the deep culture and history through museums, arts, and programs.
